Nope, those are the recomended minis for those of us that are not able to do customs. You could also use other minis to represent them, just make sure you okay them with your judge.

As a general rule, as long as you and your opponent can both clearly differentiate who is who, no one will give you a hard time about the recommended minis. I generally customize any V-set pieces I play, and I rarely use the recommended minis. I just let my opponent know which characters the minis represent, and it's always been fine.
