I am in the process of doing some custom true Sith pieces and a Darth Maul. Outside of Bao-Dur, I don't have spare male Zabrak heads. But along the lines of creating small horns, I have to add tiny prosthetics to miniatures to make the fleshy protrusions of true Sith. I have tried, with limited success, crafting both with green/gray stuff but was wondering if I should let the horns dry on wax paper or apply directly. Should the fleshy bits also be allowed to dry?

I can't offer specific advice, but will note that the Zabrak Fringer head, removed from the body, is essentially gender neutral. Depending on what you're working on, that might be easier than making horns.

I have mulled over the Fringer but her head is too tiny for my Maul's body. One of those where the proportion is off.

Liquid Green Stuff is the magical creation you seek. It costs about the same as a jar of paint. I made the hair on this dude with it: and the hair on these chiquitas: It is also great for filling gaps in pinned joints.

That is indeed what I need. I have to track it down and a syringe for it.

It's pretty thick, but a syringe might work. I put it on with a round tooth pick I cut to a spatula edge. Once it is on, it can be manipulated for quite a while. Pulling horns might be pretty simple, but I've never been able to get to hold much real detail. I have the Games Workshop Citadel brand, it is sold with the rest of their paint line at the old LGS.

For hair/horn effects I put green stuff on the head of the figure and kind of scratch at it with my razor. Just dig it under a spot and pull up, its my favorite way to do hair.

For the horns, not knowing about green stuff liquid, I am doing the age old method of rolling and cutting. Right now, it is hardening and will see the results tomorrow.

I find that method works especially good for fur. This started out as a Talz Chieftan

Good news and bad news: The good: My Maul's horns turned out well The bad: I am not too proud of the face paint. It works but he's lacking attitude. I will post pics when I get them.

Upon reading this thread, I got some Citadel Liquid Green Stuff. I need some advice on using it.

I've ordered some hobby syringes in hopes they work well together.
