I'm sure this has been answered before but since the search doesn't work...(not that I'm complaining)...

Which is the best cheap figure to use for a yellow lightsaber for Celeste?

Thanks in advance,
DM

Probably the Exceptional Jedi Apprentice from the NR. PLUS, the best thing is you get two for the price of one! I plan on cutting one off to use on a Lowbacca custom soon and just using the single bladed EJA as Jaden Korr

Depending on availability, the Jedi Consular is another option. I think the EJA is probably the cheaper one, but the JC is always good to keep an eye out for. At one point, I had amassed something like 16 JCs from various trades, but I think I'm down to a lower number now.

Yes...I had some Jedi consulars on order for this...I guess I hadn't thought of the EJA because I was going to probably cut at the hand versus just the lightsaber....but I could just hack off the second blade...hmm...

Thanks fellas!

Cut off the second blade, paint the character black, and you have a Jedi Infiltrator

You could also get a hold of some Clear Acrylic Rod's and a yellow Sharpie. ThumpUp

Seems im late to the party haha.
There were a few threads like this over on the WotC boards... and I think there were a couple on the Custom Mini's FAQ sticky on these very custom forums here. (Although it is a little sad when search doesnt work ahhaha BigGrin)

The only perspective I can add thats different to all the great suggestions already
is that you can get from a $2 store, clear plastic coated twist-ties.
You get 20~50 per bag, and theyre also found in Hasbro packaging, bread and goldfish bags...

Anywho, these twist ties have the same thickness as a WotC lightsaber blade, can be painted any color (and with translucent paint, they look a treat!) AND the fact that they have a wire core means customising into SWMs is fairly easy. Just strip a segment of the twist tie as you would any other wire (that you might solder, "tin" etc) and using a pin or tack, careful press a pilot hole into the area you want a lightsaber.

Then, take the pre-prepared twist-tie lightsaber, and using pliers gently push the wire of the twist-tie into the mini. Tada! You've got yourself a lightsaber!

Using this method personally, I made my Asajj Ventress customs, Vooliff Monn and many of my post 2010 jedi have been made with this method (which I'll credit to Skinnerman02).

---
Whatever method you end up using,
best of luck with your customising
and cant wait to see the results BigGrin

When I was still working with the X-acto gods, I used the clear rods, then watered down paint and did it that way; I tried the Sharpie method and didn't like the uneven results, but that may have been my own ineptitude BigGrin
