Quote:living: A living character does not have the Mounted Weapon ability and is either a non-Droid or a Cyborg. Other kinds of characters are considered nonliving. Certain special abilities in previously published sets should affect only living characters: Dominate, Emergency Life Support, Force Heal, Heal, Homicidal Surgery, Kouhun Infestation, Paralysis, Pheromones, Plaeryin Bol, and Poison. Aside from Han Solo in Carbonite (an object), what other kinds of characters are considered nonliving? For example, I don't see anything in the Glossary or FAQ on Light/Dark Spirit that deems them nonliving.

Like the quote you mentioned, characters with Mounted Weapon are considered non-living...other than that (and Carbonite Solo) I dont think there are any other non-living characters (excluding droids).

If they don't fall into that first sentence, then they are another character. Spirit characters are living for all intents and purposes.

IIRC from an old discussion on WotC, ghosts are considered living but it's a bit of a non issue as nothing really affects them.
As for whether Sith Alchemy works or not, I'd say no as the character has no HP. Same with Han in Carbonite.

Yeah, I think the HP issue is the sticking point due to the wording of Alchemy, but I haven't found anything relevant written anywhere, along with using a FP to banish them being the only way spirits can be defeated by an enemy. (no precedent before now that I can think of) HoloVeers would be another candidate. Carbonite doesn't count as a character, so can't be affected by anything besides an ally freeing him. I would also assume epic Exar could transfer into Marka DFS. Not that it is wise strategy, but that possibility never existed before. (Just curious, it's definitely not important Sithborg ;)

Wow, HoloSid has hit points, and is considered living. So he can be changed? Even if "real world" stuff says no?
