So if you someone you have has bodyguard and is adjacent to a person and that person gets attacked (and has evade) can the person roll for evade and fails can it be transferred to the bodyguard and can the bodyguard then roll for evade?

The body guard cannot roll evade because damageis being transferred to him, he isn't being attacked.
Everything else is right tho :D

The character that is hit can attempt to Evade, and if it fails can transfer the damage to an adjacent bodyguard. The bodyguard could not use Evade to avoid damage as it was not hit by the attack. See steps 10 and 11 under the Resolving Effects section in the FAQ for details.
