I'm sure this has been mentioned here before but I thought I would chime in here anyways, just in case.

I'm sure you have all heard of Kickstarter. Well, Reaper a miniature manufacturer that most of you have already heard of decided to use Kickstarter to try to raise funds for a new line called "Bones." The different thing about Bones is that they are plastic, not metal, like Reaper's previous lines. But, since the molds are just as expensive, they wanted to try to raise money a little faster so they could release minis a little faster. Their initial goal was $30,000. The unusual thing was that for a pledge level of $100, they would give you a bunch of minis and at various stages, as new goals were achieved, they would add minis to the "Vampire" ($100) level (and the $300 level as well).

Fast forward...they have now raised over $3,000,000! That's correct...3 Mill! There are only 3 hours left but now a pledge of $100 will get you 238 miniatures. Yes, they are D&D minis but if you play D&D or want a bunch of plastic minis to practice on or steal parts from...well...you can't beat the deal.
