So if morrigan corde attacks a character adjacent to lets say a gungan shieldbearer would she have to make the save 11 to avoid taking the damage?

Energy Shield would still work as it is the Shieldbearer using the ability, not the target. She would need to attack the Shieldbearer directly to bypass Energy Shield.
