Seperatists: General Grievous Droid Army Commander. He single handedly brought the Seperatist faction back into play. Also, the Battle Droid Officer, because and automatic +4 attack with no range limits, isn't effected by disruptive, and at only 9 points is too good to pass up.
Imperial: Thrawn (both new and old) because winning initiative 9-10 times out of ten is amazing. Emperor on Throne comes next because he's a really cheap Force Battery that can't move, but can evade anything you try to throw at him.
Rebel: Dodonna. Hands down. The only tempo control piece that doesn't force you to only activate 1 person. Very useful at 9 points.
Fringe: Mouse Droid because of similar reasons as to why Mas is good for Republic. And the big one is the Ugnaught Demo. Real cheap door control is a must. If we are to go by faction, then I might as well as add the New Republic. New Republic: Gen. Wedge Antilles added Evade and Mobile to all the followers, followers like Mara Jade, Jedi, making them all so much harder to kill. I like mobiling out with Mara and shooting with her just to be annoying. Other good pieces for the faction include Dodonna for tempo, Han for all-around abilities like Never tell me the odds and disruptive, and Kyle, battlemaster for beatstick awesomeness and his Disruptive which helps for him to be an effective beatstick.

While Uggie Demo etc are all nifty chaps, I'm all in favour of the Twi'lek BSV.
Not only his CE awesome, he's pretty nifty at causing damage too, thanks to opportunist.

Mine would have to be Nym and the Merc. Commander(and Mas in turn) because I have an obsession Gotal Mercs(I have 10)and those three pieces make them next to invincible

Take for instance, someone takes out one of your scrubs then uses Lobot to override close the only door to the room their whole team is in! They wait you out because you have no door control, time runs out and they win... Cheap? Yeah, but it happens...
