I took some time off from the game due to moving. I feel completely overwhelmed now. So much so I can't plan effectively or synergize a squad. The new maps are completely different. I keep trying to play but I look at my pieces going "How do these work again?" It's very daunting. Anyone else feel or has felt that way? How'd you deal with it?

yes, when I first started the game. When I got confused, or needed help, I asked one of the more experienced players in the area for help.

Easiest way to learn to swim is to get thrown into the water. I'd just keep playing, it all clicks when you get going. For you it should be much faster, like riding a bike.

Honestly, I wouldn't worry about the maps too much at first. I would focus on the pieces initially.

You may want to use the character tab here on bloo to sort by different factions, scan through and see what's new. Or simply sort by set, start with Destiny of the Force then move onto the next v-set or mini set.

Another good way may be to find the thread that the Hutts created awhile back that showed the top squads from the Regional and see what people were running. That's going to help you figure out alot.

Not a good analogy, weeks. I quit riding bikes after a near-fatal wreck. I prefer cars now with air bags and crumple zones. :)

Thanks for the advice, though. Feels like quicksand right now. I keep second guessing moves. Just no trust in my decisions right now.

I never trust my decisions. you just have to make them and keep on playing. If you mess up, remember it for next time.
