I'm interested in Mandalorian Protectors, but don't totally know what to do with them. I've been really enjoying Mandalorians recently - they've got a bunch of fun things in the last couple of sets.

The one time I tried Protectors, I used this. I don't think it's top-tier, so I'm interested in what other people have used:
--Protecting Cassus Fett--
37 Cassus Fett
27 Fenn Shysa
26 Mandalorian Quartermaster
23 Mandalorian Captain
51 Mandalorian Protector x3
11 Death Watch Saboteur
7 Mandalorian Crusader
12 Mouse Droid x4
6 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2
(200pts. 15 activations)

I liked the idea of having Fire Support Mission and the Crusader's splash to take out scrubs so my Protectors can focus on the big guys, and I figure that since the whole Fenn Shysa thing is CE-centric, I may as well load them up with the Quartermaster and the Captain to make their shots count. It worked well - my opponent was using a Sith squad with Revan SL and a bunch of shooters. The shooters were causing me problems, since they could shoot me without my Protectors being able to shoot back, and I lost a Protector early bodyguarding for the Captain. But once I was ensconced in gambit, it was an easy game; my opponent ran Revan in, and he ended up dealing 30 on a Protector in exchange for 120 damage on Revan from Protector retaliations and attacks of opportunity from the Saboteur.

They're pretty fun - what has everyone else been running with them? I don't have Boba Fett, Mercenary Commander, otherwise I'd be keen to try him.

That's pretty much what I've been working on too. Except I was going to try jaina. I think the consistent damage of the protectors could use a big damage piece to help them kill stuff faster.

Check out the recently previewed Mando Technician. Wait 2 more months and he's out.

Mandalorian Technician
Mando 53/60
Cost: 15
HP: 30 Def: 15 Atk: +4 Dam: 20
SA: Speed 4, Blast Cannon, Power Coupling
Communications Supplies (replaces turn. 1 adjacent ally gains Relay Orders).
Frequency Amplification (Allied commander effect's ranges are increased by 2)

15 pts to toss in, and he makes the nuke strikes much easier. Woot

He increases the range you can count from mousies for all those CEs - doubling the 2 square range to give out Fire Support Mission. Won't make the nuke bigger, but it will be easier to hand out.

Yep, the big problem we have come up with is that they don't hit all that reliably. And the fact that it isn't that hard to block with something else. They can be really tough if the person is rolling hot and they are on a map where you have to get close to engage so they can shoot you back.
