Hey all! I thought you all might find it just a little bit interesting to see what its like of an extreme mini modder. As of now I have made close to (if not over) 150 different figures and have currently 114 in my personal collection. I know you have all seen my gallery of the individual figures, but I thought it would be cool to see them all together. While I was taking pictures of those I thought it would be cool to show off my set ups, work space, and other tools of the trade. So I want all YOU to show me where you keep your customs, what minis you have on display (customs or not) and how chaotic your work bench is!

The shelf of customs. Housing the majority of my custom minis of all sizes!

The Overflow custom shelf! Complimented by my actions figures, books, and my shrine to chewbacca. These are here until I rebuild my old custom shelf.

The top of the book case where I show off some of my favorites. AT-AT, army of AT-ST's (i need more), djericks, and my custom yammosk and terentatek!

The work bench. Today was relativly light on mods so theres not much stuff out, also I have to share it with my mums kitchen table, so it has to remain movable haha.

My old custom table. Gotta get around to cleaning that some time...

Lastly my tools/bits boxes. Not even showing my box of cardless minis to still be cut up!

When I was still making custom mini's, I used my desk in my mancave (otherwise known as spare bedroom #2) I used to sacrifice mini's to the X-Acto gods on the desk itself (and I had plenty of knicks on the desktop.) Your parts box is waaay more organized; I just had one shoebox full of cut upon mini's and another, bigger box full of minis-to-be-cut (I still have several hundred, not sure what I'm going to do with them.)

I never used a magnifying glass (... and you can tell when you paint mini's and look at the imperfections up close) but I had like 40-50 little bottles of Americana paint from Michael's, a few paint brushes, and different glues (never coulf find a super glue I liked.

I kept my Good custom's in a fishing box; all the seperate compartments for flies and lures were great! I sometimes had a dozen mini's I was working on in various stages of drying or parts needed. Sadly, I eyes were fine but my hands not as steady, don't know if i'll ever go back. Maybe when I retire in 3-4 years.

I had to go look up my last mini. I made this one in May, 2011

I admire people who can still do this. I've got a few hundred custom mini's but never could take pics worth a dang. A friend took the Talz mini pic. I try to make 3D dioramas using my mini's. You should try that sometime! Hope you can expand your setup. Maybe the garage?

Peace

I actually dont ever use the magnifying glass either, probably should though. I use it for the alligator claws, they make it so you can suspend a mini in any position so green stuff drys with gravity. You should totally get back in to customizing! Its always great seeing what people come up with. Markedman is espically good at picking out very cool, very unknown charters and doing them justice in minis form. Thats a pretty cool foul as well. And if your looking for a place to dump your bits or spare fodder ill take em! Ill make you some customs of your request in return if your interested. As for maps I actually have gotten in to doing on for Heroclix, just posted that on here. I have another one in the process of being made (as it has been for the last 6 months) but I might make a new one with out a grid for the new warmachine game im getting in to. Heres the link.

I use a tacklebox to store minis as well, it works very well! Trouble is that the compartments are just slightly too short for the customs you've made, so I have a sort of customs shrine where they all sit safely and I can admire them without having to unpack them!
