I read in some squad comments that master speed does not stack, meaning that if someone has master of the force 2 (or 3) and spends force points to move farther twice, that the first first point would allow the character to move 6 squares and the second force point would all the character to only move 2 squares (like any other character would).

This does not make sense because these two actions happen independently. Can someone clarify for me? Thanks

The two actions do not happen independently; All movement boosts are applied at the beginning of the move.

So, trying to use Master Speed a second time would be attempting to use it on someone already under the effects of Master Speed and thus considered a violation of stacking.

Think of it like a light switch. Once you turn it on, you can't turn it on again.

I understand now. I thought you just spent force points any time you wanted to move more squares, meaning you could move 12 squares, spend a force point, move 6 more squares, and then spend a second force point, moving an additional 6 squares for a total of 24.

Now that I know you apply all movement boosters at the beginning of your move, this make stacking rule makes sense. Thanks for clearing this up for me.

Yeah, it may not seem like a major issue, but it's an important distinction to make, especially when dealing with Ysalamiri and Force Absorb/Defense.
