From the glossary:
Quote:
Momentum: If this character has moved at least 1 square during its turn, it gets a +4 bonus to Attack and a +10 bonus to Damage against adjacent enemies. Since this special ability works only on this character's turn, it doesn't help with attacks of opportunity.

Saesee Tiin, Jedi Master uses Surprise Move, than start its move adjacent to General Skywalker. He moves 1 square, and became adjacent to a enemy Ng'ok. He want to move around the Ng'ok, but the Ng'ok makes an attack of opportunity against Saesee Tiin. Lets say, that the AOO hits Saesee Tiin, who decides to roll a save first against Clamp. The save is unsuccessful. He ends his move, thus he gains Momentum from General Skywalker (who is within 6 squares). After then Saesee Tiin rolls a save for Djem So Style Mastery. The save is successful. He makes an immediate attack against Ng'ok. He gains +10 Damage from DSSM, but he do not gain +4 Attack and +10 Damage from Momentum, because it is not his own turn.

Is this right?

Yes, that would work.

Keep in mind though that if Saesee did not fail the Clamp save, he would not get Momentum as he needs to finish his move for Anakin's CE to trigger and all AoOs are resolved before moving to the new square.

So, Saesee Tiin would get Momentum, if he ends his move because the Clamp ability force him to stop.
But, can he use Momentum during the move granted by Surprise Move?

I think the answer is NO, because Momentum works only on the character's turn, and Surprise Move only grant a free movement but not a turn. But maybe I'm wrong.

It's been ruled that if a character with Momentum managed to get an attack off during Anticipation/Surprise Move, Momentum would apply.

I disagree with you/them, because Momentum only work on the character's own turn, and the movement grant by Intuition/Surprise Move does not count as a turn.

I'll like to see others opinions.

Nickname is as official as you can get. He was in charge of the rulings while WOTC was running the game. Any reference to his post is pretty much correct.

The pre-turn stuff is fairly complicated at the moment, and I think it is something I do have to sit down and figure out as the game goes forward, before the designers make it even harder.
