Just curious. Per the wording of Overwhelming Power, does Advanced Rakghoul Disease automatically deal +10 damage, as the damage can not be prevented by the save?

Wow, I hadn't thought about that. I would think yes, but... wait for Sithborg.

Could be pretty nasty.

No. Advanced Rakghoul Disease adds damage to the attack, it isn't an attack itself. If damage is added to the attack, then it can't be prevented or reduced.

I understand your answer of "No", so the save is still required, however, i'm a bit confused as to the "why" of your answer due to the wording. You say that ARD adds damage to the attack. you then say that if damage is added to the attack, it can't be prevented or reduced. That is sort of contradictory to your answer, so i assume you need to expand or i'm just not following. Can you clarify please?

There is a difference between determining how much damage an attack does, and preventing damage. Poison, Rakghoul Disease, etc are all determining the amount of damage an attack does. The save is merely determining the amount of damage on the attack, not doing damage.
