What squads have you guys made with the new IG-88A?

I find it hard to justify spending points on any of the other IG-88s, except Assassin Droid. But those two look like they are crazy good together, although i can't decide what the best faction would be for them. OR gives them CE negation and +10 damage which is huge, Republic gives them insane map coverage with Tow Cable and Master Lift, and the Seps would probably work as well (although i haven't bothered looking at them yet).

By the way, i can't wait to face Mace Windu with the two IGs! Oh you rolled a crit? "Ouch" 20 damage. Hey i made my shield save, make that 10 damage then Flapper

Here's my first take on a Rep IG squad:

48 IG-88A
43 IG-88, Assassin Droid
23 Foul Moudama
18 Gungan Shieldbearer
13 Czerka Scientist
22 Naboo Pilot x2
10 Figrin D'an
9 R2-D2, Astromech Droid
8 R7 Astromech Droid
3 Mouse Droid
3 Ugnaught Demolitionist

Clearly, the two droids are the main attackers. The shieldbearer and Figrin provides some protection against shooters, and the pilots can help with melee threats. Tow/lift the droids where they're needed, and blast away. Czerka gives the pilots twin and jolt to the droids. Comments? Ideas?

Also, although i know there are many better builds with OR, this one could be a lot of fun to play. Nice damage output and decent survivability:

48 IG-88A
43 IG-88, Assassin Droid
37 Satele Shan
36 Atton "Jaq" Rand
33 Bastila Shan, Jedi Master
3 Ugnaught Demolitionist

48 IG-88A
43 IG-88, Assassin Droid
31 Morrigan Corde
27 Lobot
32 BX Commando Droid Spotter x2
15 BX Commando Droid Sniper
3 Ugnaught Demolitionist

Preferred Reinforcements:
(Lobot) 8 R7 Astromech Droid

I used this one not too long ago and it was very fun. It was slowed down by ABM but still did well.

I've seen him used pretty well in Rebel squads, using Luke to Levitate him around.

I like Rebels and New Republic for them - they both have levitation and Dodonna, which are ideal support.

At 150, I won a local tournament with a New Republic build with Ganner levitating them around:
48 IG-88A
43 IG-88, Assassin Droid
29 Ganner Rhysode
9 General Dodonna
8 R7 Astromech Droid
6 Mouse Droid x2
6 Ugnaught Demolitionist x2
(149pts. 9 activations)

I think they scale really well to 150 points - maybe better than 200, as you have about 90 points of Iggies with about 60 points for support, which seems well balanced. For a 200 New Republic squad, the best choices are probably chucking in a big piece like Han Galactic Hero (Cunning and Disruptive is a nice combo with what the IGs bring), or Mara Jade Jedi, or throwing in a bunch of tech.

I think the challenge at 200 is to increase the damage output while keeping up enough activations for IG-88 Assassin to have the opportunity for Opportunist. I actually think Rebels are the best choice - they have access to cheap disruptive, and a good Cunning Attacker (Leia Rebel Commando). Lou won Capital City Champs in Michigan with this squad:
IG88A
IG88 Assassin
Luke RC
Leia RC
ERC
Crix
Dodonna
Juno
Obi Ghost
2x ugo

I wonder about that new Luke in Stormtrooper Armor as a cheaper movement breaker option too.

I haven't used Morigan Corde with the IG88's, Spotters and Snipers but I have used the rest of this crew together to pretty devastating results. Having the Spotters combine fire w/ the 88's is crazy. 88A is boosted to a 21 attack for 50 damage against living. Assassin Droid gets boosted to a 23 for 50 w/ BH and OPP.

I added Poggle and a bunch of drones which was ok but I decided I that I think extra Spotters and Snipers may be the way to go w/ the 88's in a Sep squad. I could be wrong about that though.

Morrigan was nice but I might have cut her for more activations if I were to play it again. But at the same time having a first wave attacker who makes sure the big hits stick is incredibly nice.

Well i had a chance to play both squads the other day. The republic one was really effective against a Mace squad, with nearly every piece playing a crucial role in the battle. The Czerka made sure that the pilots could finish off Rex, and Figrin's draw fire made Mace waste 2 attacks on him instead of the shieldbearer. The tow/lift were super effective and made sure everything was in place when needed, and the droids shot things to pieces, while taking minimum damage themselves. So i'll keep the squad as it is for the time being. The only thing i'd like to include is some way to repair the droids if they need it. They have a big target on them, and i'm pretty screwed if i lose them. Also, as suggested, diplomats could be a lot of fun.

I especially like the rebel and separatist squads that have been posted. They look like they could be very efficient. The BX spotters would be really nasty, giving +4 +20 on the first attack. Extra damage was actually something i was missing in the republic, even though the IGs have a nice damage potential already. But there were times, when i could have used that extra punch, so i wouldn't have to waste both og IG-88 AD's attacks on the same enemy. But the separatists are lacking some way of moving the droids into position. I need IG-88 AD to be able to double attack, to maximize his efficiency.
The rebels are also a good option. Activation control and levitation/grappling hook (depending on which Luke you choose) synergize well with the droids. Cheap disruptive doesn't hurt either. I'd probably drop the ghost for something else, maybe another override piece, as i find him unable to keep up with the rest of the squad with his speed 2. When i played rebels last week, Leia only got force renewal once (first round), which kind of sucked.
