Ok, so I am developing a Sith sub-faction based on the D&D Drow (well in appearance and name only). One of the drow has the force power Drow Sorcery which allows the character to use any force power that any character has on the map at the cost of +1 extra force point. So if a character has Force Grip 2 for instance costing 2 Force Points, this character can use Force Grip 2 but at a cost of 3 force points.

So would this be the correct wording
Drow Sorcery (This character can use any force power that any character has on the map at the cost of +1 extra force point, to the force powers normal cost)

I have very little space on the card, so really need to keep the wording to a minimal.

Thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

Ok EDIT
Now going with: Drow Sorcery: This character may use other characters' Force powers as though they were its own, as long as the Force power costs at least 1 Force point to use . This character must spend 1 extra Force point to use Force powers in this way.

Thanks to: FlyingArrow for the above.

Lightsaber added to mini.

Any other suggestions?

PS, does anyone know the correct font to use on cards?

I think you might run into a couple of issues. First, things like Force Renewal 1 and Master of the Force 2 are technically Force Powers. You don't spend force to use them - they are 'ongoing' sorts of powers. So I'm not sure what the rules would say about those interacting with your ability. Sometimes simply having an ability is important. For example, does your character have a lightsaber? Using Lightsaber Assault if he doesn't have a lightsaber might seem weird. But even if you allow it, he doesn't have a "lightsaber" just by using the force power. He would need to gain the force power, not just use it. That's important if you're talking about Damage Reduction, for example.

I'd word it this way (and my wording probably has issues, too):

Drow Sorcery: This character may use other characters' Force powers as though they were its own, as long as the Force power costs at least 1 Force point to use . This character must spend 1 extra Force point to use Force powers in this way.

This borrows terminology from Force Meld and Force Suppression, two ideas that seem to be mixed into Drow Sorcery.

Well the character at the moment does not have a lightsaber but is melee attack only. However I can always customize the mini to give her a lightsaber so that in its self is not an issue. The character already has force renewal so that is not a problem either but as she does not have master of the force 2, so I see that might be. However I never saw renewal and master of the force as Force Abilities themselves as you not spending force points to gain them, so never actually considered that when I came up with Drow Sorcery.

For now I will change the wording to how you have put it, until something better is suggested if indeed anything better is suggested.

Thanks

I think FlyingArrow's got it. What else did you need help on? (besides the wording).

Well if the wording is ok thats pritty much it, however while I now consider this character done it never hurts to get other opinons on the cost of the character.

So cost 50 points? does this seem high or too low, or just right?

It's a well balanced fig. I might give it LSDefense; though, it has no defensive capabilities right now beyond Speed 10. 50 seems right on the money.

If only there was room on the card.

Thanks

You could drop the definition of Speed 10 and not define LSDefense.

I could, but I think that would defeat the purpose of Drow Sorcery. The idea is that the character uses such abilities by means of other force users on the battle field all be at at the cost of +1 force point. It would therefore make more sense to drop the cost by 1-2 points.

How so? Even if someone else has LSDefense, which is not certain, the Drow would be paying 2 FP for each use, which isn't sustainable.
