"Its final position must be farther away from the acting character than its starting position." "The acting character's controller decides which way to push the enemy."
Is there any other limitations to this?
Can The acting character change the direction of movement if there is no wall or character in it's way?
If the acting character is diagonal to the target do they get to choose if the target moves diagonally or along a row? Alternatively Could they go partially down one row and then veer off at a diagonal?
Could a player move the target in an winding 'S' curve if there is no obstacles? How about a spiral?
If it is FP5 can a character push the target/s four spaces away and then pull them back one?

FAQ wrote:Q: When a character is pushed, can I move it around obstacles or characters to get it further away?
A: Each square of movement must be further than the currently occupied space. You must move the enemy character if a space is available. Beyond that, you may control which space to move the character into. www.swmresources.com

There is definitely a lot of information there that fleshes out the more complicated interactions.
