Just would like to clarify. If a commander is within 6 of a mouse droid with a range 6 commander effect does he benefit from his own ce?

Wow . . . I never even thought about that . . . I would like to know, too.

no, commanders don't benefit from their own commander effects unless it says so(bacara). You are always within 6 squares of yourself

Further, something I've wondered about the Mousie, is how many squares you get. If he's 6 away, do you still get six, or do you get 12 ('also counts the squares away from this piece...' or whatever)?

What ever the range is on the CE is the range from the mouse droid.

In other words, if your CE extends six squares and touches the mouse droid, the mouse droid extends this commander effect by six squares, counting from its own square (even if the mouse droid is closer than six squares to the commander).

So it's a minimum of 6 (if it's range 6 to start with), and it doesn't ADD to the 6, but if it's farther than 6, you get the value of the distance? The Glossary is a bit vague the way I understand it.

Easiest way to do it is to "pretend" that the mouse droid is a copy of the commander. That will make it much easier to visualize where the 6 squares are?
For instance, is this guy under the effect of said commander? Let's see how far away I am from either a mouse droid or the commander itself. I am within 6 then yes, if I am 7 or more away then no I don't get the CE.

I once asked if a mousie that was projecting a CE that affected droids would benefit from the CE as well... I'm pretty sure the answer was a unanimous no. They said the mouse had to be in range of the commander or another mouse droid. Ergo, the mouse did not count within 6 squares of itself. Sorry if I'm wrong about this.

Sorry if I'm wrong about this. If there is a commander effect that the mouse could be eligible for, but there is a range restriction (6 squares), and the mouse is futher than 6 squares from that commander, the mouse does NOT grant himself the CE. He could however get it if he was within 6 of another mouse droid (both mice would get the CE in this case). As said, think of the mouse as a copy of the commander. But he basically starts counting from one away, and can never relay orders on himself.

Imagine that the red square is HK, who grants droids within 6 squares a +4 defense bonus. The other colored squares are all mice droids. If you look, HK grants the orange mouse a +4 bonus. The purple mouse grants the green and blue mouse the bonus, and he also is within 6 squares of them, so they grant him the bonus (for example, if only the blue mouse was within range of an enemy with disruptive, the purple mouse would still have the +4 because the green mouse is also within range). The brown mouse is 7 squares away from the green mouse, and is the only mouse on the board who does NOT get the +4 bonus (mice do not extend the commander effect to themselves, they start counting at one square away). Since HK does not say he grants himself the bonus, the orange mouse does not provide the commander effect back to HK

The wording for this is a little awkward, and some of the players in my group originally thought it did something like actually increase the range of the CE. It doesn't do that though, it just because a CE projector, like you say.
