Bodyguard - Easily my favorite ability in the game. Focusing your fire on specific pieces is really important to winning, and having to spread that damage around can really mess up plans. Something that would normally one-shot a character suddenly can't kill them. Oh, and having a 10 HP Bodyguard take a 30+ Damage shot is just awesome.
Traps - Really a well thought-out ability. It's super useful, but you have to be up in the thick of things to use it.
Override - Yeah, a lot of people hate it, but I think that doors and opening/closing them adds a really strong tactical element to the game. Getting locked out sucks, but if both squads have enough Override and are able to keep them safe I think it adds some real depth to the game. Much more interesting than Satchel Charge, which reduces the tactical depth of the game.
Accurate Shot - You don't see as much of this in the game as you used to. Putting little uggies and Mouse Droids in the way to get shot by Rex or Cad Bane is kind of lame, though. I like shooting whoever I want!
Jolt - Ooooo, I love Jolt. Or any of the activating abilities really. Losing a turn with your big guy is a BIG deal. Games generally go 5-9 rounds, with the first round or two just being positioning and the last round or two of longer games usually just being clean up, so if one of your main pieces gets jolted in one of those important rounds that can easily swing the balance of a game. On more than one occasion I've won a game that I was on the losing side of because of a well timed Jolt or Stingbeam or something like that.

Dark Inspiration (need to make a new Dooku with it) Snare Rifle (can be highly frustrating to characters) Intuition (very fun and strategic ability) Teras Kasi Style (I like straight up damage reducers) Cay's Legacy (very limited potential in making a return, but it is the ultimate in thematic abilities)
