Ok, this question involves Grand Master Luke Skywalker and Darth Bane. Luke is at 150 hit points and Bane is at 60. They are adjacent to each other, and it's Bane's turn to activate.

So Bane Activates, gets a force point, spends a force point for Sith Rage and attacks Luke. His attack hits, Luke attempts to do a Lightsaber defense, spends a force point and fails his save, spends a force point to reroll and fails that save so he takes damage, 50 points in the instance. With that hit, Luke makes his roll for Djem So Style Mastery, makes it, and then makes an attack at Bane. Luke has twin and both attacks hit doing a total of 60 points of damage to Bane. Bane is now at 0 hit points and he's already made his first attack... So the question is this:

Does Bane get to take his second attack (from Double)?

I read through the resolving effects list and I'm just not sure where this falls in. I apologize if this is a stupid question, or the answer is obvious. Personally, I feel that he shouldn't get his second attack (from double). If he had twin I believe he'd get to use that, but not double since he was defeated. But that's just my opinion. My friend's opinion is different than mine, AND I respect his opinion, so that's why I'm just trying to get some clarificiation.

Thanks.

I don't think even with twin he would get a second attack. And don't you get force renewal at the end of your turn? (could be wrong) I think in any instance like this it's as if Bane attacks, hits Luke, pulls back for his second attack. While doing that Luke makes his Djem So on him.

Bane actually isn't dead, Djem So Style Mastery with Twin attack only does 50 damage as the +10 only affects the first attack of the Twin

I'm fairly certain Bane does not get his second attack if he had died though.

And Renewal takes place at the start of the turn Gungan Batman Clone

Ahhh, yea, my bad. I get a little fuzzy sometimes on remembering when you can add damage bonuses with twin. Thank you for the clarification.

So if Bane had only 50 points left then he would have been defeated and not gotten the second attack. And that would be regardless if it would have been twin or double. But, if he had used Lightsaber Assualt, he would have gotten to make the second attack even if he was defeated right, because it's a Force power??

Thanks for the input Andy and Gungan, I appreciate it!

I'm farily certain it doesn't matter if it is a Force Power or not, he doesn't get the second attack if he is defeated.

No. I think you are thinking of a different ruling. When the Djem So/Riposte interrupts the first attack, you fully resolve that attack, which includes removing the defeated character.

What you may be thinking of is in the case of Djem So/Riposte vs Djem So/Riposte, where each attack is started before the triggering attack is fully resolved, which can lead to mutually assured destruction.

That is something I have never understood. Say some youngling critical hits Tyranus, LOTDS, and Tyranus riposte's him. Attack hits and youngling dies. Why does Tyranus still take the damage if the youngling is dead and the riposte takes place when the attack hits and before the damage is dealt to Tyranus? We have always used house rules that if this situation happened Tyranus would not take damage. Can you clarify this please?

Please read the resolving effects section of the FAQ. It has the various steps of when various things takes place. Djem So/Riposte interrupt the normal attack, and starts a whole new sequence.
