Last weekend at the IL regional, when sthlrd2 proclaimed Atton would need a crit to hit (insert hem & haw by Jake). The Force reroll insued and ALAKAZAM out comes the natural twenty, which effectively sealed the regional win for Jake. That was a moment to witness.

Zannah was fighting Grievous Hypori and my friend just said he wanted a crit, and i thought ok wishful thinking. he rolled a 20! and b/c he wasnt familiar w/ all of Zannah's abiities (and b/c i wanted to think I still had a chance b/c a crit likely would have turned the tide of the battle against me) I told him that LCE 19 would not only prevent the damage if i rolled a 19, but dish it back to him (still not a great chance of avoiding damage, let alone redirecting). then i rolled a 19 and i gave him all his crit damage back to him that he had given me 10 seconds earlier! the game turned like that and i ended up winning!

It had to be when I faced a couple of friends of mine in a three way battle that should not have turned out the way it did. My friends decided to gang up on me to beat me. Now I'm not usually this lucky but I rolled probably a dozen ctriticals in that game and lost only when my only remaining opponent character rolled a crit on my last character. That was a pretty epic battle. I was playing Mandos and haven't stopped playing that squad since.

I had one tournament where my Tusken Raider was unstoppable. He tore through everything, both filler and beatsticks combined, and survived without a scratch. His kills that night included 4-Lom and Palpatine, SL, the latter who he did 80 damage to himself.

One of my favorite moments was when an opponent and I argued for around 15 minutes deciding weather or not my Kreia had cover from his Boba Fett Merenary. It was a close call but she ended up not having cover, leaving me depressed because his attacks would have probably killed her. After all that though, he rolls, and IT'S A 1!!!!!! Made my day :) . My other Favorite moment was when I got over 700 points of reserves in one game and won.

I have been on the receiving ends of his reserves squad, it is fairly consistently effective. One of my favorite moments was using a Yobuck squad against obiwanknight's squad centered around Kreia. I out-activated him and one he had moved everyone, I used Doombot and Yobuck's force point to move Yobuck 38 squares, which was the exact amount I need to get next to Kreia. I swapped General Skywalker in with Panaka. Kreia had 70 HP by now, and moved Gen. Skywalker to get momentum. Kreia made an attack of opportunity, missed, and I used Diem Jo and hit. I then made my two regular attacks, which hit, killing Kreia in one round, breaking his squad.

On a success, this character can make an immediate attack against that attacker.

Gencon 2011 first round of top 8 I play thereisnotry in round 1. After he kills my Captain Rex and gets my Panaka to 10 Yoda manages to hit every single attack including a crit to kill Mara Jade, Jedi (she missed the block) then General Skywalker, Panaka, and Lobot as cover managed to somehow take down the rest of his team. No idea how I pulled that off, but its still the greatest comeback I've ever been in in a game. Next round I got smashed by Ian Gordon as I'd used all my good fortune already.

No, now you mention it, the attack did hit, I just had a General Skywalker takes no damage and kills Kreia version of the story in my head. But thanks for correcting me.

Yeah, I remember that game. That failed block on Yoda's crit was huge, because otherwise I would've had the damage output I needed to take Anakin down. Just Han by himself, against Anakin up in his face...that's a very difficult situation. I have at least a dozen "!!!!!" moments in competitive SWM play. But my most memorable SWM moment was also in the first round of the Championship playoffs, but it was this year. I was playing (Mace/GOWK/R2/Rex) against Deri/fingersandteeth (HanGH, Corran JM, Evazan, Ganner, etc). My R2 was toast, and Rex was at low health (10hp I think). Deri moved a piece within 10 of Mace, so I took the bait because I had to get some damage out there at some point. Then (as expected) Deri levitated Corran in for a triple-opportunist attack. He hit the first attack for 30dmg, then I Riposted, and he Force Absorbed, and then I Force Absorbed his Force Absorb. There were no more Absorbs to be Absorbed, so I then proceeded to roll my Riposte attack: 17! 60dmg (Corran has no defense vs melee attacks), and then I rolled my Flurry attack: 17! Corran is now down to 20hp and all I have to do is roll a hit on my next Flurry attack...17! At this point Deri drops his head in his hands and says, "I hate that ing piece!" [And I can't say I blame him.] Three 17s in a row (but I only needed 2 of them) turned what looked like sure defeat into a huge win.

actually one of my most memorable moments was shortly after Commander Cody came out. I was playing a squad of all clones, and General AAyla Secura. I had rex, gree, and cody in the Squad as well. I managed to get a good line to my opponents Rieekan and managed to Crit him, twice. I then proceeded to attack his luke rebel commando. Hit on the First then crit on the second and Hit on the third. I have never hit that many cirts together, and afterwords my opponent checked my dice to see that i wasnt cheating Which of course i wasnt i just use 4 dice and rotate which one i am rolling.
Another Realy hillarious moment was when i was playing my "Where are they Coming From?" Squad(Palpatine, Lobot CLO, Mon Mothma, KAzdan PAratus, Qui gon Jinn WIth anticipation, and an arf trooper fro recon. I Played it at Gen Con for the 200 point jedi challenge just for fun. My First match i apparently had the Gods of luck on my side. Every Round i rolled for Initiative i get my reserves. I rolled like 3 20's for init which allowed republic and droids. Plus i rolled 3 11's in which the first one i brought in a rodian black sun vigo. IT wasnt a horribly competitive squad but it kicked butt that round just by the sheer number of Reserves. I ended up winning by sheer mass. THough the 2nd game i got decimated within 2 rounds to where i couldnt do anything.

My other Favorite moment was when I got over 700 points of reserves in one game and won. Ha Ha! That would be my end! Anytime I defeat Kreia it is a good memory for me. First of all I have terrible luck, so many of my attacks don't hit, or I roll ones. So the only way I can deal damage is through Auto-Damage Force Powers. So I got Kota, Vader's Apprentice Redeemed, and Yoda of Dagobah together. I had Rikeen also, but I don't think I made a single Evade save. So anyway, Kota and Vader's A went BOOM BOOM! And it killed both Kreia and Malak! As I said, I have terrible dice rolls, and we have a running gag saying that the universe hates me. Look up "why does the universe hate me" Yahoo answers, I DID NOT POST THAT THERE! Some of the answers are hilarious.

A lot of people are putting down moments where they got incredibly lucky. A victory to me is much more satisfying when I EARN it, not when the dice gift wrap it for you.
At genCon 2007 I had a game where my Boba BH disintigrated my opponents Yoda AND Boba BH. It didn't feel good, I just new I got lucky. I sorta felt bad about it. Wish we could have played again to see what would have really happened.
I like the games where I feel like I am facing an uphill battle due to a complete mismatch, but through shrewd play you pull off the victory.
One recent one that comes to mind was my Vong vs triple Basilisks. I cannot believe I pulled it off, but through lots of squad synergy and careful placement I pulled off the win.
