Do characters such as Rodian Diplomats benefit from things like Opportunist and Cunning?

Yes - we played it wrong in New Zealand for quite a while, but Yularen does give Rodian Diplomats +4 attack and +10 damage.
There are some errata/restrictions stopping Mouse Droids from being able to do any damage from attacks though.

They can't combine fire, though. And figures with dashes (-) instead of 0's don't benefit from those sorts of things.

Yeah that was me using the Diplomats to shoot w/ opportunist yesterday. A more common one would be Lobot getting opportunist from Thrawn, not that you really want to be dangling Lobot.
Of course I didn't hit a single thing w/ a diplomat all day so it was kind of a moot point. And like Flying Arrow said, they can't combine fire which is important to know.
I did roll a crit w/ a Rodian Diplomat against my son last week though. One thing to remember with that is that there is nothing to double and it still only does 10 damage in that scenario.

Can a character with 0 attack and 0 damage, make an attack with no buffs? This came up in a game recently when player A had a character with Aggressive Negotiations and player B wanted to attack it with a Tredwell Droid. Obviously not to do damage but for the purpose of removing AN as it has It's A Trap.

Interesting. I missed that thread 1st time around. Another reason to keep Lobot in your base squad and a Treadwell or Diplomat handy in your reinforcements box.
