Question: Can Kelborn work with the Czerka, and if so when?

The Czerka gives Blaster Upgrade (Allies within 6 squares with nonmelee attacks that deal exactly 10 Damage gain Twin Attack). Kelborn does 10 damage and doesn't have the Melee SA, however he does have Gauntlet Knife +10 (+10 Damage to 1 adjacent target; this counts as a melee attack).

To me, there are several possibilities here:

1. Kelborn can get twin if he doesn't use his Gauntlet knife. But if he uses his gauntlet knife, he doesn't get twin.

2. He's got a Melee ability with the gauntlet knife so he never gets twin.

3. He doesn't specifically have the Melee SA so he gets twin every time he attacks, even with the gauntlet knife.

My logical mind says it would be option 1, but I'm no rules expert and I want to clarify to be certain. Also if I'm way off and there's some other option I'm missing, please let me know.

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure it is option 1 but I'm also no rules expert.

Since it says with nonmelee attacks and Kelborn can make Nonmelee attacks I assume he gets it on those and just not Gauntlet Knife

Number 1. This was ruled by WotC with the GenoHaradan Assassin, who faces a similar situation.

That is what I figured, and I was trying to find info on that (since I believe they came out in the same set) but I just couldn't find it.
