So Deaths_Baine and I sometimes have minimal time to play a full hour long match... So we started developing a faster way to play that cut down on squad building... Almost completely.

We have hit a few snags in our time, and haven't had much time to continue working on it... But here is a rough start that we had. I figure with the great ideas of the community it could help us finish this out since my new job has thrown my times and his way off.

SO here is a very vague start to what we were trying...

1. Can only use characters with a force rating and a lightsaber.

2. Each character starts with 100 additional HP.

3. Each character retains all special abilities, minus lightsaber combat forms/ damage negating or reducing abilities.

4. All characters gain Force Renewal 1 (unless they have FR 2 or FR 3)

5. No ability or force power can negate a an enemy from gaining Force points

6. All matches are fought in Rattakata Arena

7. No BHC Pieces

Then, the Gladiators choose their weapons and armor....

Weapons

We picked 10 seperate lightsaber crystals and decided a combatant could use these crystals to gain x ability.... But its just tough to narrow 10 Crystals with 10 abilities with only 2 minds.... So some ideas we were thinking, and again, opinions are greatly appreciated..

Cunning
Opportunist
Greater Mobile
Burning Attack
One With The Force

We also thought about creating our own "abilities" that the lightsabers could grant, i.e.-4 to saves, Gain Force Renewal 2 or one of our favorites a freezing attack the makes an enemy lose 1 attack on a failed save of 6.

Then they choose their armor

Cotosis Armor
Dark Armor
Beskar Gam
VC
Laminamium
Armored Spacesuit

1. Each Armor has a chance to negate 10 damage (even Dark Armor)

2. Each armor has a special ability that the wearer gains. (i.e. Lightsaber Duelist, Jedi Hunter, along with some created "abilities" such as + 4 to saves, can not be moved by enemy characters)

Now the trick is the point cost system.... We had 2 ideas...

A. You get 125 points to pick a character and then equip him for the arena

B. You get 50 points to add to any character you want.

The 50 point one would obviously favor the higher costing pieces, where as the 125 points would give the mid cost pieces a better shot.

With either system we figured you could use 2 crystals and 1 armor (assuming you can afford their respective costs..

So.... Please, Brainstorm With us!

we had been doing 1 v 1, with only 1 character each.

LIke a Gladiator arena... But, as happens in the Gladiator arena, I suppose you could throw 2 v 2 or 3 v 3? Its kinda in the building process and we hit a speed bump (our work times) so I thought if anyone had any good ideas/suggestions, might as well be fully open to them.
