I'm not sure that I understand the question. Are you asking if you use Grenades (or another similar ability) on an enemy within 6 squares, but an adjacent enemy is 7 squares away, would it damage that enemy? If that is what you are asking, then the answer is yes, because it is the
target that has to be within 6 squares. If you are asking something else then I misunderstood and I have no idea.
