So I was looking at some new theme squads to make with some affinity pieces and came across Admiral Saul Karath.... His affinity reads" (This character may be in a squad with a character whose name CONTAINS Revan or Malak".... And for some reason I came across this fringe character named "Malakili...... MALAK-KILI.... Since his name "contains" Malak wouldn't Saul Karath be allowed to be in any facion? Thus making him the first character to ever be able to be in ALL factions?
Am I misunderstanding how this affinity works? Or has this already been covered in some faq that I didn't see?

That is... awesome. While I think your interpretation is correct, I doubt that anyone will let it fly. Expect FAQ/Errata fix soon. Also... all Fringe pieces can be in all factions, so Saul isn't the first.

I'm not seeing a problem, they're clearly the same dude:  Anyways, I see this as being legal for now, and we have precedent with Coruscant Guards getting Rapport from Vader's Apprentice. But I can see this erratta'd to close the gap, similar to how for a brief time, you could have Dooku on Tyranus on the same squad as neither of them initially counted as the other.
