FlyingArrow wrote:Lord_ball's Dexter Jettster, Proprietor Not a fan of the reusing Informant on many characters. Otherwise good. 8. Pegolego's Dexter Jettster, Weapons Shop Owner Decent Czerka replacement plus a couple other tricks. 8. AndyHatton's Dexter Jettster, Informant The specialized boosts are too specialized. I like the Smuggler boost. 7
CorranHornsux123's Dexter Jettster, Bar Owner 3 rounds is a long time… and easy to forget. Might as well be for the whole skirmish. I wouldn’t think of Dex as an 80dmg shooter, especially in the Bar Owner stage of life. 7
Corranhorn's Dexter Jettster, The Duke of Diners Thick Arms is confusing. When he hits, is his damage 20 or 10? Other than that, I like it. Informant is perfect, but cost should maybe be a bit higher. 9.
CerousMutor's Dexter Jettster Gun Runner sure seemed powerful – and then I saw his cost. For 36, it should be powerful. 8.
FlyingArrow's Dexter Jettster, Gunrunner I really like the idea of Gunrunner/Illegal Weapons Shop, but on further thought, it’s just not very useful. Probably should have been a within 6 ability (or maybe within 3). Adjacent makes it too hard to use. Really happy with how Crucial Information works, though. I’m a big fan of the ideas in this design, but ultimately the execution fell short.
Bubba Fett's Dexter Jettster, Weapons Smuggler Neat to see Lift used again. 7.
Deathwielded's Dexter Jettster, Weapons Dealer I like the various supplies. IB is nice, but needs to be re-worded. It also may be a bit too powerful. 9.
harryg's Dexter Jettster, Trusted Informant Beefy Blaster Upgrade option with initiative control. 7.
Darthbane53's Dexter Jettster, Information Broker Nice combination of high HP, low defense. 7.
saber1's Dexter Jettster I like informant and the weapons supplies. 8.
Robobob's Dexter Jettster, Republic Informant Gregarious was a great call. Target Information is not something I want to see Mace Legacy gaining access to. 6.
SignerJ's Dexter Jettster I like it. Clean and pretty simple boost to lower-cost Jedi. 8.5
Two stood out to me for the flavor of the character and the resulting gameplay: corranhorn's and DeathWielded's. SignerJ was close to those two. Either one of my top two could have sealed it and earned a 10 except each had wording issues on one of the abilities (and they both probably could have been bumped a bit on the cost). But since I understand the intent of DW's Information Broker, and I'm not sure how to interpret Thick Arms, I'm going to go with DeathWielded for my vote. Why you do this to me? ? You forgot mine!

corranhorn wrote:He only has 10 base damage, he wouldn't be doing 30 per hit anyway. Yeah then Thick Arms (This character's base damage counts as 20, and his damage rating cannot being increased. The character's damage is still treated as 10 for determining the damage dealt by critical hits.) does need changed since it looks to me that this guy has 20 base damage and he cannot have his damage increased. (20 x4 =80)

Ok it turns out I never posted my vote and I don't know what happened with my write up. I really like Deathwielded's (I hope I'm not too late, I wanted to get this in before the deadline, I feel dumb for losing my votes somehow)

Argh. My wording for Thick Arms was confusing. Sorry all. He does not deal 20 damage, he only counts as having that damage to prevent the Ithorian Commander from boosting him. But I forgot the Ithorian was Rebels so that's a nonissue anyway.

Come on guys! we can do better than this! Only 5 out of 14 contestants voted! (that's only a third of us) But hey I'm glad that we're getting this many entries and hey I understand we get busy. (this last weekend was crazy for me!) This is for fun, not mandatory, but I think we can get more voters do you think I should open voting up all day Monday? (so voting is from Saturday - Monday) so we don't have to vote during our busy weekend?

My problem is I just tend to be away from my computer all weekend and then there is just a lot to get caught up on.

(even though he got Second he technically couldn't have won since he didn't get to vote this week ) saber1's Dexter Jettster 10,9.5,9,9,8 for an 9.1 average and in first place we have (drum roll please!) ......................................................................................................... Deathwielded's (thats me! ) Dexter Jettster, Weapons Dealer 8.5,9.5,10,9 for an 9.25 average which is the highest average so a bonus 2 bloomilks for a total of Thank you guys! This was a close race and could've easily have been different with just 1 or 2 more votes. Notice that we got 4 tied for 9th!

I apologize for not voting on time. I've spent all weekend sick on my couch with a dead iPad. I know its too late to affect the results but I feel I owe my fellow participants a review and score.
harryg: Your piece was solid. An Atk of 3, combined with Melee makes him neigh useless as any kind of damage dealer (disappointing at his cost). Blaster Upgrade is fitting, if not groundbreaking. 8
Darthbane53: I like what you've done with WD and IB, though I suggest IB affect characters that begin their turn adjacent to this character. Th HPs are huge for 19 points, perhaps excessively so. 8.75
AndyHatton: Your entry really has some cool flavor to it. The informant SAs are fun, though seriously limited in scope. What I really like is Running Guns. The possibilities with this piece are tantalizing. He's not much of a threat on his own and those stats require a deft hand to keep him on the board. 9.25
CorranHornsux123: There are some cool things going on here, beginning with very reasonable stats. My main concern is all the Obi love. Give GOWK +2 Def, +3 to saves or heal him for 20 combined with a 37 point piece that cannot be targeted for 3 rounds results in nearly half the squad that's ridiculously difficult to kill. 8
corranhorn: Your entry at 11 points flirts with becoming an auto-include for any Republic squad. He's a simple, one-trick pony. Sure, he has GMA and Quad, but Informant is where its at. 8.5
Bubba Fett: Munition Supplies makes an appreciated appearance. Lift is an interesting and original choice but Skilled Observer is the main thrust of this piece. With his low stats (esp for his cost) utilizing it more than once will require a lot of finesse and likely a bodyguard. 8.5
Cerous Mutor: This piece is extremely fragile for 36 points. Being able to grant Invisibility is hugely powerful and worries me. Gun Runner looks fun and might make early BH versions more playable. 8.5
Flying Arrow: I like seeing Explosive Supplies here. Crucial Information is an interesting and strong 1-shot initiative bonus and seems accurate to the character. Gunrunner seems overly difficult to pull of, perhaps impossible on some maps. The base stats and cost look good. 8.75
pegolego: Weak stats but offset by cheap cost. Arms Dealer is cool, though it would have been much more effective had it benefitted BH & merc characters "who begin their turn/move adjacent to this character". Enemy Tactics informant is great. 9
Lord Ball: Informant is very cool. Its strong, but coupled with his weak stats I don't think its too off-balance. The issue I still wrestle with is Diplomat. I understand the reasoning, I'm just not sold on it. 8.75
Deathwielded: For simplicity and the sake of card space, I'd have dropped Exotic Weapon Supplier. As far as I know, his ability to identify Fett's dart doesn't necessarily equate to selling them. Power Coupling is very interesting and original. It sort of fits the character. Your Information Broker is very, very strong. Sacrifice his turn to auto-win initiative AND its usable each round? Ouch. 9
Robobob: Base stats and cost looks reasonable. Gregarious is a great inclusion. Target Information is very powerful. I'd hate to see it benefit my opponent's GOWK or Mace. Without playtesting it, my instinct says the 27 point cost keeps it in line. The +1 Force thing is distracting. 9
SignerJ: The Large base and Speed 4 are significant limitations, but giving allies Force users Stealth and Cunning is very cool. Recon and Stealth are a good combination. 9
My vote would have gone to AndyHatton.

AARGH! Computer troubles. I'm having trouble even being able to type this since my computer is so screwed up atm. DB53, if you happen to see this,
I'll check my inbox (since presumably my message is from you) as soon as I can (once this hunk of junk starts working right again).
