So...if a character has stealth and they have cover and they are further than 6 squares away they can be targeted for an attack if there are no other enemies within line of sight, correct?

No. Given your scenario they can not be targeted. There are abbilities that can enable a Stealthy character in cover, farther than 6 to be targeted - Accurate Shot, Lightsaber Throw 3/5, Focused Attack. Probably some others.

According to this, it seems like you can target a person with stealth if they are the only target, thus making them the nearest, right?
Glossary Text
If this character has cover, it does not count as the nearest enemy for choosing targets if the attacker is more than 6 squares away. A character can attack an enemy with cover only if that enemy is the nearest. If this character would be the nearest enemy, the next-nearest enemy counts as the nearest instead. Follow the normal rules for cover if the character with Stealth is within 6 squares of the attacker.

No. A character with stealth does not count as the nearest enemy for choosing targets when more than 6 squares away. If there is no other character in line of sight, there is no legal target at all.

You have opened my eyes to it's effectiveness, I always saw stealth and was like Meh better than nothing or Maybe use some Vigos to boost them. Now I love stealth!

Stealth makes the character not count as the nearest while they have cover. EVEN IF there are no other enemies in line of site, the stealth character still doesn't count as the nearest enemy (even though it seems like they should, since there is no other enemy to count as the nearest). Once you figure that out, the rest is gravy, baby. Accurate shot allows you to bypass stealth, as does any ability that ignores cover, as your stealth character no longer has cover with which the trigger for the ability.

Yes adamb0nd. The way it is worded makes you think that if there are no other enemies in line of sight, stealth goes away, but I guess it doesn't.
