melee reach 2 and invisibility question. Options

If a character is 2 spaces away from a chameleon droid (who has invisibility) can that character (who has melee reach 2) see/attack the chameleon droid? I assume so because melee reach 2 says they are adjacent for attack purposes, but wanted to check first.
