If you melee Jar Jar can he send the melee attack 6 squares away, or because it is melee it can only go in reach of the attacking character?

If someone targets a character within 6 squares of Jar Jar but the ability cannot reach Jar Jar as a legal target, can it still be redirected?

If someone uses an ability like Proximity mines, can it be sent to Jar Jar to redirect?

The melee attack can be sent 6 squares away. This is one of those weird abilities. Doesn't make sense in "real world" logic, but thats how it works in the game.

No. Because in order for jar jar to draw fire, he has to be a legal target.

I'll let someone else verify, but I believe not. I THINK this only works for attacks, as the glossary text specifies attack (though the trigger for the ability just states "targets").

For reference:
Card Text

Whenever an enemy targets it, this character must attempt a save of 11. On a success, the attack is redirected to another character of your choice within 6 squares. If no other character is within 6 squares, the attack is negated.

Glossary Text

Whenever this character is targeted by an enemy, this character must attempt a save of 11; the save is not optional. On a failure, the attack is resolved normally against this character. On a successful save, the attack is redirected to another character of your choice (ally or enemy) within 6 squares, even if it would not normally be a legal target (for example, the attacker could end up hitting itself). If no other character is within 6 squares, the attack has no effect. Make the save to redirect the attack before the attacker makes its attack roll.

1. Yes, Bombad Gungan can redirect attacks and other abilities to a character that would normally be out of range.
2. No, you cannot use Draw Fire unless you would normally be able to be targeted by that attack or ability.
3. Yes, Draw Fire can redirect any attack, Special Ability, or Force Power that targets.
