When a character dismounts, do his spent force points also transfer, or does the character start fresh with the new card's force?

Example: If Darth Maul spends a force point on his bike and then dismounts for Darth Maul, Champion of the Sith, will his -2 force points also transfer to the new Darth Maul?

Treat it as adding a new piece.

so full force points, counts as victory points etc
