There is a confusing discussion going on here about GOWK and how his Mettle works. Does his Mettle bonus stack for ALL saves that turn? For example, if GOWK is attacked, fails SSM, and re-rolls it twice so that he only needs a +3. For the next SSM save that turn, does GOWK need a save of 11, or a save of 3? Thanks in advance.

11
Mettle only applies when you spend a FP to re-roll and applies only to that roll (+4). It does stack with itself so if you spent 2 FP it would be a +8. Or take the better example would be something like this.
So an attack from Rex might go something like this. 1. Rex hits 2. roll 10 fail save 3. re-roll with mettle (+4) roll 8 (+4) =12 make save 4. Rex misses twin 5. Rex hits again with Double 6. roll 8 fail save 7. re-roll with mettle (plus it stacks) (+8). Roll 5 (+8) = 13 make save 8. Rex hits again with twin 9. Roll 6 Fail save Take 20 damage since you can't spend force again to re-roll

My bad, I'm getting confused with rerolling. I'll delete a bunch of posts from that squad, so it's not so confusing.

Actually, deleting the posts makes it more confusing, because then there are posts responding to those deleted posts. Which leaves people scratching their heads.

Awwww man guys! I liked it better the way our group plays...mettle only stacks if you use a force point to reroll but its not carried over every saved roll. So essentially if you miss a save roll, and are attacked again it starts all over.

No, according to what urbanjedi said, you are playing it right. Right?

I think there is still a little bit of confusion over the fact that the second time you reroll a save with Mettle, you get the +8 bonus to the save, not just the +4 bonus.

Read this thread a bit more closely. No, I miscommunicated. But the way I used to play it doesn't matter, anyway -- I'll just use the correct way from now on.

Hmm...ok I will use this example to show how we have been playing...
Durge shoots GOWK and his attack hits, GOWK misses the soresu save roll so uses a force point to reroll adding plus +4...the result is a successful save. Durge attacks again, again his attack hits. GOWK misses the soresu save roll again and spends another force point to reroll still only needing a +4 to the result since the last attack he successfully saved and this is a new force point he is using.
If GOWK had failed the first save and spent an extra force point to reroll mettle kicks in again so only needing a +8 save roll. If GOWK is then hit by additional attacks the mettle has ended and only saves of 11 from soresu will negate the attack.
