hello I noticed IE set says its 41 Pieces in size in the collection manager yet the cards for the set go X/40... Umm what am i missing???

When they made the 181st Imperial Pilot, they painted it like an AT-AT Driver. They added a 41st card - the Elite AT-AT Driver. If you look at the character pages here you'll see the image for the Elite AT-AT Driver, and a re-painted version for the 181st Imperial Pilot. The extra card was made available on the WotC website as a printable PDF, but it was also legal to use in their tournaments.
