Been a while since I came on here, I rarely play matches, but I do still play around with my SMWs and a camera.

See the initial results HERE ON BOARDGAMEGEEK.

I just thought you guys might enjoy the pictures and the general Star Warsing it up!

Very creative. I like the set up. Feels like a comic strip. Looks like a lot of time is put into those shots. The wampa looks really big the way you took that shot. The deleted scene is so funny LOL. ( "wait I didn't mean that" made laugh so hard, the picture of that wookie and lea is awesome.
Bravo.

Cheers

I am not sure exactly how it all started. I started taking photos of boardgames as a good way to keep up my photography during the winter without having to go outside. As I started to have a little fun with it, my Stormtroopers started making a few appearances (for example HERE) and then when we had real snow I decided to use the opportunity to take some photos based on Hoth as they would hopefully be very cool.

Luke fighting the Wampa was the result and I toyed with the idea of taking photographs of iconic scenes from the original films. As I thought about it I thought maybe I could do a series showing the films in brief. As I thought about the photos and started making the list I then searched for the screenplay to get a quote right. Then I thought, what the heck, let's just do the whole screenplay and illustrate it, in parts of course.

So now I have my project for the next 20 years or so lol. I also need to invest in some X-Wing Miniatures because I am otherwise limited to ground wars. This was the reason I began with Empire Strikes Back, as I can do most of it with the SMWs and toys I already have. I am looking forward to it and am planning it out on a copy of the screenplay I have chopped up and am figuring out what pictures I can take to illustrate it with.

Glad you guys enjoyed it, I cannot promise a quick turnaround on further parts, but I will post them here when I get around to them. You can already see a few of the photos on BGG as I have taken some out of sequence as and when I think of them.

And I need to think of further "deleted scenes" I can take ;)
