So, is the Geonosis Mass Battle a two-part event, or two separate independent events? Are there multiple tables doing the Geonosis Mass Battle? What do the Geonosis maps look like? Will the miniatures be provided to us? What are the new rules??

The 3D terrain is based off the Geonisis arena map that was released with clone strike. Off the top of my head the main rules changes are all unique jedi gain force renewal 1 and Lightsaber Deflect. Separatist have a maximum activation of 6 per turn. This event will be limited to 8 people for each session.

For most of the basic events, I believe the price will be $10 each (cheaper than in years past) as in the past people wanted cheaper events that were shorter with appropriately less prize support.
Champs, Mystery Map, and Sealed will all of course be more than that and possibly one or two other events as well.

i know in the past the answers to my questions have been: 1. 1 epic piece required, no more or less 2. 3 commander effect Limit 3. Activation control was legal but takes 1 of your commander effects 4. 16 activation limit
i am just wanting to know to prepare.

Prizes to anyone with zero or one loss. Epic figure is the only figure who can score Gambit. Gambit worth 50 pts. Must have exactly one Epic figure in your squad. 16 Activations Maximum (cannot go over 16 figures with reserves or reinforcements). Commander Effects or Special Abilities that allow you to move less than the normal amount of characters will be ignored. Advanced Battle Meditation will end at the end of each round (instead of until the character next activates). There will be no limit on the number of Commander Effects in your squad.
These are the rules for the 500 Epic at gencon.

Each player on the team must use a different faction. Each team can only have 1 total instance of a unique so if 1 player runs Boba Fett, then no other team member can run any version of Boba Fett. In the pregame setup, each team captain will roll. High roll can choose to pick the first matchup or defer that choice to the other team. One team will determine first matchup, then the other team will determine the other 2 matchups.
Rules for the team tourney on Saturday evening.

tickets go on sale May 18th at Noon EST.
Many of the tournies have smaller maximums than in years past due to some down attendance last year so if you want to guarantee yourself a spot in a particular event, you should buy it sooner rather than later.

As far as our other events, a few of them are also selling out or getting close to it, so if you want to play you should get signed up. Also, if you really want to do something and it is sold out, please stop by at the time of the event and have generics as there are often times where even though an event is sold out, not everyone shows up for it. That allows us to fill spots with others wanting to play with generic tickets. It is a bummer every year to hear after the fact how someone didn't get to play a mass battle or something and then to look back and see that the event ran 1 (or more) person short and if the person had just stopped by to check they could have played.
