Can I force spirit 2/4/6/8 inside a ysalamiri bubble? To someone outside? Or does it count as spending force points?

Yes. Ysalamiri only prevents the spending of force points, not a full suppression of all force powers. Powers that don't cost points like Spirit and Renewal will still be able to trigger while in the bubble.
You would have to pick somebody outside the bubble of course for Spirit as anyone inside would have Force Immunity.

So it still counts as spending force points that turn.. But does count as spending force points? My understanding is that if you spent a force point to reroll (or something of the like) already in a turn, then you couldn't force spirit 2/4/6, because it counts as spending force points. How does that tie in?

No it is not count as spending force points. It is a force power which is why you can force absorb/defense it, but it is a static for power that kicks in when defeated.

So if you've used a force power already that turn, and then die, and don't have MOTF2, you can still use FS 2/4/6?

Yes, since Force Spirit doesn't cost any force points, so it's never counted as an expenditure of force points.
Think about it, if it worked the other way, then someone with renewal would never be able to use force powers on their own turn.

Force Spirit 12/4/6/8 (I can't find Force Spirit 2) happen automatically after the character with Force Spirit is defeated. Edited to not confuse anyone like I was.

I'm pretty sure you can absorb or defense Force Spirt X because it is still considered a Force Power. That's how I've always seen it played.

Yes, it's a force power. So Force Spirit happens after the character's Hit Points drop to 0 or lower but before it's removed from the battle map? Guess it makes sense.

The Resolving Effects section of the FAQ is pure gold for hashing out interactions/timings: http://www.bloomilk.com/Forums/default.aspx?g=posts&t=10805Force Spirit is resolved during step 13, the character is removed from the board in step 14.
