This is the exact rules text from the glossary: Quote:Lightsaber Throw 5: (Force; 5 Force points) Instead of taking its normal turn, a character using this Force power chooses an enemy within line of sight, even if it is in cover and is not the nearest enemy. (Even an enemy with Stealth can be chosen.) This character makes 2 attacks against the chosen enemy and 2 additional attacks against each character adjacent to it (enemies and allies alike). This counts as a nonmelee attack for the purpose of effects such as Lightsaber Deflect and Molecular Shielding. Just to verify my understanding of this rule: 1) The targets of the attacks do gain the usual +4 defense bonus from cover. A target in cover may be chosen even if not the closest target, but nowhere does it state that the target does not receive the defense bonus. 2) A Cloaked or SuperStealth target in cover is not a valid target of this effect. The target selection is made as if the attacker had the Accurate Shot ability. A target with Stealth is explicitly listed as valid; the conditions placed exactly correspond to the rules for target selection when the attacker has Accurate Shot. The conditions of Cloaked and Superstealth targets are deliberately different, they are listed as "not a valid target" at all. 3) A character with the Diplomat SA is not a valid target of this attack when any other enemy is in LOS, the same as any other attack.

2 is incorrect. You can target a Cloaked/SuperStealth character as you ignore cover when determining a target for Lightsaber Throw 5.

Exactly where in the above quoted rules does it say that you ignore cover? It says you can select a target in cover if it isn't the closest, it doesn't say ignore cover.

It says it on the actual card: "Choose 1 enemy within line of sight, ignoring cover"

so if you ignore cover, then the + 4 defence bonus does not apply.

You NEVER actually "ignore" cover when selecting a target for LS Throw. That's just the way the card text abbreviates the rule.
You can choose a target that's in cover and isn't the closest target, even if it has Stealth, just like Accurate Shot.
That's all that the actual RULE says.

As you refuse to believe me, here's a link asking the same question with an official response.

(reading the "blue" text always sets it right)
