If the attacker makes the save against the energy shields that the Gungan has (the one where adjacent allies are protected), does the target take the damage? again, Seibermaki and I are learning the ropes... maybe we need to drive up to Bellevue and learn from the masters... ;)
thanks.... one again, MAINEiac

OK, we read it and re-read it. It says when the character is HIT, make the save yadda yadda... so if the attacker makes the save, then the targeted figure WOULD take the damge? We think YES.
If not... that's a blasted powerful piece.

bah, that's NOT what I wanted to hear lol. I suppose though, it'd still be worth it to have the Gungan Shieldbearer adjacent to GOWK or another character with a ability like Evade. If it makes it through the Gungan Shieldbearer, then the target could then use their special ability. However, if the Gungan is the target, then it's not so good as I don't think it has that many HP. Although two or more Gungan Shieldbearer's adjacent to each other could be interesting.....
GS = Gungan Shieldbearer(bold is target) OO = open
such as: OOGSOO GSGSGS OOGSOO
How would that work? Assuming of course the attacker is non-adjacet, Could the four outer GS defend the Gungan Shieldbearer in the middle? Would that be 5 saves?

It'd be 1 save because of stacking.

I suppose something like below would be a decent long range tactic...:
GS = Gungan Shieldbearer GA = Gungan Artillerist OO = open
such as: OOOOOOOOOOO GSGAGSGAGSGA OOOOOOOOOOO
Although, instead of Gungan Artillerists, put guys with Evade next to the Shield Bearers... That would probably be most effective(save for the Shield, then if the attacker makes it, save for the Evade?)

Ok, and another question along these lines......
Jar-Jar has Bombad Gungan and Draw Fire.
If Jar-Jar Bombad Gungan, can he redirect to a Shield Bearer, or a guy next to the Shield Bearer(thus, it would cause the Attacker to make a save against the Shield Bearer assuming Jar-Jar's player makes the Bombad Gungan save...)
to illustrate: J = Jar-Jar A = Character within 6 who Jar-Jar redirects to B = Gungan Shieldbearer O = open space
OOOOOOJOO OOOOOOOOO OOOOOABOO
And Draw Fire... if Jar-Jar succeeds on Draw Fire, but has a Shieldbearer next to him, does the attacker then have to make a save against the Shieldbearer?
to illustrate:
A = Original Target J = Jar-Jar B = Gungan Shieldbearer O = open space
AOOOOJBOO

Yes. Quote: And Draw Fire... if Jar-Jar succeeds on Draw Fire, but has a Shieldbearer next to him, does the attacker then have to make a save against the Shieldbearer?
Yes, provided Jar Jar doesn't send the attack elsewhere due to Bombad Gungan.
