Virtual auto-include. Could be implemented into the republic as a CE on a more expensive jedi. Point is that OR needs more help I disagree think Republic Jedi need just as much help. Putting it on an expensive jedi doesnt help anything.

Special abilities Affinity Republic, New Republic Emplacement Training Program - Melee Force Users gain +4 defense against non-melee attacks from farther than 6 squares away. Pushing those holorcron pieces pretty hard there bill ;) I still like it! As do I! It would be great to see them in a subset. Just giving bill a hard time

I dont think he meant some big Expensive piece just something a bit more. Something in the Mid 20's i would guess that doesnt require 1/4 of your squad but does make you put it in the main squad.

I'd think that Sith are the other faction that need something most like this, after OR? Even if it was something that mainly fitted into a mid-range threat squad, rather than with Revan swap or Caedus.

The thing is, the Sith rule with fear, and thus I think Doctrine of Fear would work for them more than a defense boost. The Sith are all about aggression, not defense. Likewise the Sith faction in this game is all about damage, not defense. Not many of them have Lightsaber defense powers for instance, but instead their mainstay is Sith Rage. I think the Sith faction should retain their "flavor" and keep on the trend of powerful pieces that demonstrate their reliance on power over defense. It just would seem like a change of identity if they became defensive all of a sudden. They have a few unique defense powers, like Illusion, so they aren't without their abilities to negate attacks.

Sure, that makes sense. The problem is that Doctrine of Fear only has a range of 6 squares, so it's not really hurting shooters that much. Could you put Doctrine of Fear on something that can push forward, like a diplomat or a force spirit.

That 200 HP is mean when your best shooter is a Heavy Clone Trooper It would be cool to have a Sith piece in a similar vein to the original Darth Bane: all-out offense and massive amounts of Hit Points. Like, a 40-50 point piece with 20 Defense and a mountain of hit points as it's only defense. That seems very in line with the Sith to me.

THat is an Interesting idea, But i don't think that BAttle Meditation is appropriate for the sith Generally. But something similar would be very appropriate.

They can already get Battle Meditation via Atris. She went dark side in the game, so it would fit with a sith squad.
