Good day to all!
Does a character assisting with combined fire count as an activation for the round? Meaning if I am attacking with my first activation, then use a second to combine fire is my round over?
Thank you for the good help!

Answer to your question: no.
But you'll get confused if you don't use the correct terminology - a player's turn is called a "phase". A phase is made up one of one or more turns - a character's turn is called a "turn". A "round" begins with initiative and then players alternate phases until every character is activated.
When a character takes a turn, first they are activated, then they take their turn.
When a character combines fire, they are considered activated (but do not take a turn). It does not count as one of the activations for the phase.
The abilities are consistent when the refer to "round", "phase", "turn", "activation", so it is important to not mix them together.
