Does Damage Reduction X work against things like crab armor, beskar'gam, and force bubble?

Damage reduction works to prevent damage like the other things listed so I'm not really understanding your question as it wouldn't work against those abilities as they all prevent damage. However if you are asking if it works in conjunction with them then I believe that it does so if you had damage reduction 10 and crab armor 6 then you would reduce by 10 for DR and then make your save for crab armor to reduce an additional 10 dam.

No, Penetration only ignores the ability Damage Reduction. All other forms of reducing damage are unaffected.
