For the save for exploding pistols, is it for the damage and activation, or just the activation?

With Lightsaber Throw 3 do you get to choose a target regardless of line of sight and targeting rules?

LST3: You have to have line of sight to the target, but it ignores cover. So as long as no enemy is adjacent you can choose any enemy in line of sight. The target still gets +4 defense from cover, since cover is ignored only for the targeting, not for the attack.

Pistols: The save negates both.

For purposes of LoS, do low objects and walls count equally as cover? (And by that I mean, one enemy is partially in cover because he is around a corner, and the other is sitting on a green square.)
