I need a little more clarity on how CE's stack or do not stack.
I was assuming Moff Jerrod and Snowtrooper Commander CE's would stack until I re-read the glossary on CE's. CE Moff adds +4 attack for those who combine fire (essentially a +8 attack IF THEY COMBINE FIRE CE Snow Trooper adds +4 attack to the follower (before any combine fire modifiers take place)
Both since these are CE's that affect the attack roll....
Glossary says....Duplicate commander effects never stack. A single character can benefit from any number of different commander effects simultaneously, but if more than one grants a bonus to the same roll or statistic, only the highest bonus applies.
So what I'm focusing on is the part that says "but if more than one grants a bonus to the same roll or statistic.

same stat or roll don't really matter. nameless bonuses(+4 +10)do not stack with other nameless ones (+2 attack) if the ability has a name ie.cunning attack, or deadeye, they stack with nameless ones, Special Abilities(SA's) always stack with Commander Effects(CE's)

Thanks, so these do stack if you have the snowtroopers in a squad because combine fire always stacks as per rules;. As one is directly adding +4 to the attack roll and the other is adding +4 to the combine fire ability. Do I have that right?
Followers within 6 squares who combine fire grant an additional +4 Attack. (Moff J) Followers within 6 squares whose names contain Snowtrooper get +4 Attack and gain Squad Assault. (Snow Commander)

yes, combined fire stacks with everything, even itself. so, if 2 combine, it would be a +8 bonus I've been known to combine fire with enough shooters, so that only a 1 will miss with Moff J it is a +8 bonus for each one that combines fire with the shooter

Oh this will be nasty!!!! I can't believe I haven't run a squad with these two together. And only a handful of squads are listed here with these 2 together. I like your idea of only a roll of 1 will miss lol lol.

The main reason for that is because people tend to avoid combining fire because they don't want to sacrifice activations. If you want to make a squad based around combining fire though, try a rebel squad with a Rebel Leader and Ackbar, Supreme Commander. You won't get as big of an attack boost, but instead will have a massive damage boost, make the damage unpreventable, and not activate one of the characters combining fire. And Ackbar also gives out Accurate Shot.
