Howdy;
there's been a marked increase in spamming lately,
a lot of the spammers are pointing out ways to "bug out" and move places...
is there any precautions we can take to purge the spammers or discourage them from doing stuff?

yes, I believe a simple solution is to charge $1 to join Bloomilk, that sould stop spammers dead.

indeed, good thinking jak  I do mean the stupid spam-bot "here's how to 'bug-out' " or "check out these Nike making something buy gold tiara Chelsea" psssh... it's just those spam posts are getting mighty old. I don't want viagra, or to buy 'shares' in Chelsea football club, or to "bugout in India moving companies"... it used to be, the spammer list would stop em.

Really, outside of IP bans, there's little that can be done beyond not clicking on any links to get them to give up.
What happens is that practically no forums are built from scratch; Instead, people use one of several major varieties of forum software. Similarly, spammers buy lists of sites that use the softwares and bots that are designed to spam them. They type what they want, then click run and away go the spam messages to hundreds of sites. It's doubtful the spammers have even seen this site or are even aware of it's existence.

gamers doesn't have this problem
there approve new members for a few posts before letting them join.
THAT also would solve it
but if the powers that can make changes to ole Bloo don't care, then we're all F-ed in the a$$
