Set vs Set tournament
Vengeance + Cantina Brawl - pegolego vs Alliance and Empire - urbanjedi
Post your squads and explain why you will win. Everyone else - vote publicly for who you think will win. I'll track votes in this top post. (I reserve the right to exclude votes based on suspected sock puppet accounts.)
If anyone plans to play this match, please post that you plan to. Others may want to wait to see a play report before voting.
If both players agree to play this out instead of having the community vote, then the vote will be ignored and the results of that match will stand.
Voting ends December 15, 2015, 3:00pm EST (New York time).
=== Currently 7-1 for A&E.

So, for this matchup, I would select Cantina.
The squads are:
--Vengeance of the Death Watch-- 37 Cassus Fett 29 Pre Vizsla 27 Demagol 27 Etain Tur-Mukan 11 Mandalorian Scientist 30 Death Watch Saboteur x3 14 Mandalorian Crusader x2 25 Death Watch Mercenary x5
(200pts. 15 activations)
vs.
--squad contest-- 47 Luke's Landspeeder 27 Han Solo on Tauntaun 20 Princess Leia 18 C-3PO and R2-D2 18 Lando Calrissian, Dashing Scoundrel 42 Wookiee Freedom Fighter x3 8 Wicket 20 Mon Calamari Tech Specialist x5
(200pts. 14 activations)
No matter which side I end up with, the idea is the same. I have the acts to hang with his squad and get some Deceptive shots off, so combat should move towards the middle wall (because it always does lol). If Luke or Han separate and come rushing up one of the halls, I feel like that's better for me probably.
I get people towards the middle and against the wall if possible to avoid getting hit right away. Get the guys with Traps and Cloaked closest to the doors. I don't think any body on the other squad can kill more than one of my pieces at once (so two per phase, unless Leia gets in close and shoots at something, which could help me get to her), before I try to unload Twin Deceptive barrages (I have unavoidable combined fire to try and get around Landspeeder's deflect once it's in close to get a shot at my pieces. I have Satchel charge to keep a door open when I want to. If things end up clustered, Cassus gives FSM to a little guy who can pick off some of the smaller acts all at once.
Urbanjedi has a good squad with the acts necessary to make a game of it, and some Force users that AREN'T destroyed by things like Demagol like they're nothing. Ultimately, however, I feel like my cannons can pull it off, especially on Cantina, playing carefully and manipulating combat so that hopefully I get to chew through some things while not losing much in return. FSM may be a big game changer because I can hide behind the walls, and without even having LoS I can start picking off the little pieces, and, given that odds are 1 of 4 saves is failed, quite possibly some bigger stuff.

I won't be here this afternoon or tomorrow, so I'll vote however Jason's play report goes. With a leaning to Alliance (Luke's Landspeeder is tough and accurate Han with cannon shot)

I will see how this plays out, but right now my vote leans towards Vengeance.

Got Laura to play the in the first game.
Game 1 (on Cantina) I took the Bar side, used a FP to get to gambit with the speeder. Rd 2 started to see some action, I moved up Wicket and then Laura moved up a DW guy to trap him. I had to kill the DW guy (which also killed wicket) and then started taking the fight around the corner. Rd 3 really saw some action. Cassus was the first to go down, and etain mar turkain followed but Laura took out 2 of the wookies and put some damage on the speeder. Rd 4 Laura won init and put 40 on the speeder and tortured him and activated him. Then used Pre Viszla to knock him down to 10 , so I had to be very careful to no work hit Demagol so he couldn't push the speeder to death. Whittled down some characters, lost the last wookiee, used Leia to give the speeder a shot on Pre, and did 30 with Lando on Pre. Rd 5 init I won and did used speeder to do more damage to Pre (but not kill him) and then JMT on Demagol and activated him. Pre finished off the Speeder and then got finished off by Lando. Leai and Han started working on him and he pushed a mon cal who had run up and finished off the droids before he died. Laura finished off Lando between the rest of that round and the next round, rd 6 finished up with me winning on 6 rounds of gambit with Han, Leia and 2 mon cals left vs 2 mercenaries and 2 sabateurs. We played it out and I finished her off but did lose both mon cals.
I played this again by myself on Ruined Base and again I am reminded that ruined base might not be the best squad for my map.
Mandos set up on inside, and again I run speeder to gambit. This game is much more difficult because there are much better Lines so that FSM comes into play (I think the Mandos got off 3 of them in the game). Game plays out very similar except Mandos kill even more stuff. Game ends after 6 rds with Rebels winning but both teams over 200. MAndos had 2x sabs and Pre (almost dead), and the Rebels had LEia and Lando (both wounded) and 2x Mon Cal Rebels win 211-204 with that extra round of early gambit being the key.
I think in analysis that because the Rebels can get to gambit in rd 1 on either map (and be protected) that they have the advantage in this matchup. And it also comes down to the fact that the wookies can kill the grunts in 1 hit and it takes at least 2 grunts hitting back to take out a wookiee. The Mobile of the speeder and Han also help keep them safe.

I really want to see Vengeance win this one, but with the reports, I have to say Alliance and Empire.

It's definitely fancy though.
