No, they are separate effects that happen at different times.

Thanks for the clarification. Arguing whether it fell under the activation turn of Dominate or Separate.

It wouldn't work, in any case, as the CE is limited to followers. The dominated character doesn't join your squad.

Yep, figured as much. Would have made too strong but more useful.
