Is it legal to bring in a Jedi crusader through revans CE and then use the Crusaders Affinity to bring in malak? Here's the example http://www.bloomilk.com/Squad/167155/rebel-revan

To add to this: would the character brought in through affinity be the faction of the squad itself, or the faction of the character using the affinity? i.e. would Malak in this instance be Old Republic or Rebel?

That wouldn't matter for the CE this would it? Since both Effects say allies n not rebel allies?

My understanding is that, yes, the Jedi Crusader can bring in Malak, but no, Malak would not benefit from factional CEs or SAs.

Rebel. If a character is brought into a squad via a CE, their faction remains the same. If a character is brought in via Affinity, then their faction changes to that of the base squad. So, you'd get an Old Republic Crusader bringing in a Rebel Malak. It can get weird at times, but that's always been the case. For instance, if Uliq uses his CE to bring Mandalore the Ultimate in, you wind up with a Sith squad with no Sith.

that is silly to be able to bring somebody in and than have that person bring somebody in. it defeats the purpose of the first ce in my opinion. bringing malak into rebels is really really stupid. just as bad as putting obiwan in sith. I know it's "been around" but seriously I wish there was a simple rule that could be changed to sup some of that silly stuff. don't know what it could be, well have to think about out if it is even plausible at this point
