So, I'm looking at the Resolving Effects FAQ, and I'm wondering about a character using Djem So style as it is defeated. I looked up a previous ruling and found that, yes, a character can use Djem So when hit with the killing blow.
The caveat: under Step 10, it says (direct quote, emphasis added): "Effects such as Flurry and Lightsaber Riposte begin new attack sequences that interrupt this sequence; resolve the new attack completely, then continue where you left off with the original attack."
So, let's say someone with Djem So Style is hit by a melee attack that defeats them. However, they make the Djem So save and hit the enemy back. The enemy is defeated by the Djem So attack. Since you would resolve Djem So Style completely before officially defeating the character, is the enemy defeated before the Djem So character?
The only application I can think of is if a game came down to two characters. Let's say I have General Skywalker, and my opponent has Darth Bandon. Both have 20 HP and no FP. Bandon hits Anakin, who succeeds at his Djem So save and hits Bandon. Would Bandon be defeated first, thus giving me the victory even though Anakin is defeated right after?
And if yes to that, is it possible for the person losing on a Djem So to re-claim the win by Riposting the Djem So? Let's say Bandon has 1 FP left, and after being hit by Anakin's Djem So, he Ripostes, creating a new attack phase. Would this result in General Skywalker being defeated first?

I believe that the game ends at the end of the round, so it would come down to points (gambit) in a tournament game.
To your second question: it is possible to get into a cycle of Djem So/Riposte, where the characters continue attacking even though both are technically defeated (just haven't been removed from the board yet).
