Greeting SWM Community....................................
I wanted to post this in general, to get the word out that a few of our brothers in the community are going through a difficult time and could benefit from our words of encouragement.
This post was from our "Republic vs Imperial" campaign, as natural disaster has struck, and ended the campaign, before we could finish;

We live in Fort McMurray, Alberta and our town is mostly burned to the ground. He's evacuated with his family to safer ground but I'm a firefighter and my place is here to help hold the line. I've been working non stop the last couple of days and there is no end in sight, this is my first break with a charged phone and a few minutes to think. Also not sure if all of our minis burned to the ground. As I haven't been to either of our homes but destruction in the city is near 50%. Battery life is scarce so I won't be able to be in touch here but the rounds allocations are out. If one of the other imperial commanders could step up for the last round that would be appreciated. please pray for rain and strength and good luck brothers with the rest of the campaign.

Agreed. Anyone in our community believing in the power of pray should pray for these folks.

"Life Happens" was a comment we made in another thread where GG was also in on ... but this is the epitome of that. All I can say is God Bless You, keep your head up and good luck to everyone involved. Stay Sharp brother!

Thanks brothers, we are doing a lot better lately. There is widespread destruction in our town but the majority still stands, although smokey and damaged from water, fire retardant, heat or debris. My brother and I are down in Edmonton south of town and even managed to scrape together a regional with some of our fellow evacuees (yes, some minis were saved! Haha) With the bulk of the fire under control the work is going to be long and hard for patrolling and putting out spot fires for the rest of the summer so they reinstituted shifts for us (the first 72 hours everyone just kept working, too much going on). As such I'm on days off waiting for my wife to give birth to our first child before heading back to keep dealing with the parts of the beast that are still lurking near my town. Thank you for the prayers and please keep them going for rain, for health in the lungs of us first responders and for healing and peace in the minds of all Fort McMurray residents that had to flee the destruction and fire. Awesome community here.
