Trouble Adding Comments to a Squad Options

I am having difficulty adding comments to a squad; I keep typing in the info, then clicking add comments tab, and nothing is appearing. Is there a trick to this? Thanks in advance.......................

There is a hidden and unannounced character limit. Not sure what it is exactly but it is annoying because the comments you lose are the longest ones.
